Organ n. 48 | Organ at the Gerard Levi’s Residence Yuvalim

This instrument belongs to Gerard Levi. It was built by the Israeli organ-builder Gideon Shamir with the help of G. Levi. They together decided upon the disposition. The first manual is based on a romantic conception – it has a Flute Harmonique 8′, Viola da Gamba 8′ and a French Bourdon. The second manual has a Baroque character. The console is integrated into the organ. The case is in a modern style made by a naturally lacquered wood.

The inauguration was on the 21 of May 1992

Mechanical manual and stop action

Origin of the pipes:
Flute Harmonique, Viole 8′, Pommer 8′ and Flute 4′ on the Grand Orgue were originally from an accompaniment instrument of French origin from the end of the 19th century. The Soubasse 16′, the Octave 4′ and Super-octave 2′ stop from the pedal, the 2′ Principal on the G.O. and the Mixture II, as well as the 4′ Flute from the Recit were provided from different instruments from the Jerusalem Franciscan Convent Organ-builder’s workshop.

The remaining stops were made by the organ-builder Gideon Shamir.
