Organ n. 34 | Buchmann-Mehta School of Music concert organ
The concert organ of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music ordered from the German organ-builder Hermann Eule from Bauzen in 2000 and was inaugurated in 2001. The late Maurice Clairmont and his widow Angela Clairmont donated the means for building the Hall as well as the organ. Prof. Ami Maayani, a well-known Israeli composer who was then head of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, designed the hall with an organ in mind and was most instrumental in the realization of the entire project.
The concert hall is situated at the center of the School building. The hall is in a rectangular form, and the organ is placed on a narrow gallery on the second floor, facing the entrance.
